Introducing

First Aid Live

April 3, 2020 marks fifty years of the legendary rock club, First Avenue, in Minneapolis.

Witnessing firsthand the beauty, magic, and community created when people gather around live music – that was the initial plan for our 50th celebration. Since that is not possible at this moment, we’re going to celebrate with you all from our living rooms. Click below to watch our special First Avenue 50th Anniversary – With a Little Help from Our Friends.

When this is all over, we expect the most memorable concert season ever. And First Avenue will welcome you all back, exactly as you are, doors open and amps blaring. Until then...

First Avenue:

Closer To The Stars

A possibly true story of the legendary Minneapolis nightclub First Avenue. Prince may have made the club famous, but many others have toiled backstage to keep this landmark standing. From the days of Woodstock, through disco, punk, and hip-hop this "pirate ship that goes nowhere" has weathered the storm - just barely.

Our Purpose

The social distancing practices required to combat the spread of COVID-19 are creating incredibly challenging circumstances for so many, with a disproportionate impact on the hospitality and event industry workforce, including local musicians, and those already at or near the poverty line. Many in our community are experiencing lost work and wages. We’re asking for your help.

If you have the means, please donate now. The relief fund directly supports night staff, door staff, bartenders, security, stage crews, tour managers, merch sellers, and local musicians affected by this unprecedented interruption of everyday life.
